Terms of Service
Last updated: 7 August 2026
These terms govern your use of findcompany.info (the “Service”), operated by Bradshaw Pearson Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. The Service
findcompany.info lets you look up UK companies and purchase company reports that combine information from the public register with credit and financial information from a licensed data provider. Reports are compiled from third-party and public sources and are provided for your business and due-diligence purposes. A purchased report remains available to view and download for 30 days, after which access expires.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Accounts are organised into organisations (“tenancies”). The person who registers an organisation is its administrator and may control purchasing and members.
- You must be at least 18 and use the Service only for lawful purposes. The Service is intended for business users, not consumers.
3. Credits, prices and payment
- Reports are paid for with credits. You buy credits in packs, in larger volume amounts, or via a monthly subscription. The current price of a report in credits is shown in the app.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your card details. Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and, unless stated otherwise, exclude any applicable taxes.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month and have a minimum term of 3 months (you pay for at least three monthly cycles). You may request cancellation at any time, but it takes effect no earlier than the end of the third monthly cycle; after the minimum term it takes effect at the end of the current paid month. We do not refund part-used periods.
- Except where you have a non-waivable statutory right to a refund, credits and completed report purchases are non-refundable. Credits have no cash value and may [expire / not expire — confirm policy].
- We may change prices from time to time; changes do not affect credits already purchased.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service or any report unlawfully, or in breach of the terms of any data source;
- scrape, bulk-extract, resell or redistribute reports or data except as expressly permitted;
- use any personal data contained in a report other than for a lawful, legitimate purpose and in compliance with applicable data-protection law;
- attempt to disrupt, probe or gain unauthorised access to the Service.
5. Intellectual property
The rendered report as compiled and presented by us, together with the Service’s software, design and content, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property rights. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the reports you purchase for your own internal business purposes. Underlying public-register data remains subject to the licences in section 8.
6. Disclaimers
Reports are compiled from public and third-party sources that we believe to be reliable, but we do not guarantee that they are accurate, complete or up to date. The Service and reports are provided “as is” and do not constitute financial, credit, legal or other professional advice. You are responsible for any decisions you make based on a report.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
8. Data sources and partners
This service uses data from Companies House and The Gazette, licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Contains public sector information licensed under that licence.
Credit and financial information is provided under licence by a third-party credit reference agency, made available to findcompany.info in collaboration with Palatine. The compilation and presentation of each report is findcompany.info’s own.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or to protect the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time. On termination, unexpired report access and unused credits may be forfeited to the extent permitted by law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; we will post the updated version here and change the “last updated” date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, save that nothing affects your non-waivable statutory rights.
12. Severance
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable by a court or other competent authority, that provision will be treated as removed. Where possible, it will instead be modified only so far as is necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent. Removing or modifying a provision in this way does not affect the validity of the rest of these terms, which continue in full force and effect.
